Nail Bar with Future Dreamers, the perfect overcast Saturday activity

Sparkles and a whole lot of nail polish… what more could you want from an overcast Saturday afternoon! We spent a couple of hours with the beautiful Future Dreamers team and 30 energetic and bubbly 11-year-olds at their FD Junior Hang Out- complete with a Sienna Nail Bar.

The Byron Bay charity is set up to provide girls aged 12-25 a space to hang out, get creative, forge beautiful friendships and call their own. We created a duck egg blue pearl polish for the Future Dreamers, and it was the perfect opportunity to crack it open and get manicured!

FD Junior offers 11-years-old who are about to transition into high school life, an opportunity to experience Future Dreamers for themselves and establish friendships and connections before making the big transition.  It’s also a good excuse to just hang out and have a bit of fun! We really enjoyed chatting with the girls and hearing about their lives, growing up in the Byron Shire. Hugely inspirational, they all have big dreams- from performing on Broadway to travelling the world. We sat down with each of the girls at the nail bar and painted their nails in the Future Dreamers blue.

The team of women who established Future Dreamers saw a huge gap in the Shire for an outlet for young teen girls. They hold events, hangouts, after school activities almost daily, and welcome all girls whether they be visiting on holiday or locals to the area. The positive impact that Future Dreamers is having on the community is obvious. The girls are encouraged to pursue their dreams, cultivate their creativity and passions, all while forming strong friendships.

The profit of our Future Dreamers colour went back to the charity, helping guide, nurture and encourage girls to blossom into amazing young women.
